Community Inclusion Center Instructors

Our Instructors will be responsible organizing, developing and implementing lesson plans and activities for individuals with disabilities at our Community Inclusion Center.

We are looking for the following instructors

  • Technology (Lessons will include coding, Building computers and robotics, and learning how to use a 3-D Printer)
  • Music (Students will learn how to play musical instruments and hold performances)
  • Theater (Students will participate in short plays, improvisation and theater games)
  • Film and Editing (Students will learn the basic technics of film and editing while creating their own short film)
  • Animation (Students will learn the basics of cartoon animation and story boarding while creating their own project)

Direct Support Professionals (DSP)

DSPs are the link to the community for individuals with disabilities. For some, they may be the eyes of those unable to see, or the voice for those who can’t speak. For others, they are friend, cheerleader and subtle support on the path to one’s true potential. DSPs are responsible for providing companionship, social skills and job coaching training to people with disabilities on a one on one basis. You must be comfortable driving an individual in your own vehicle (We do have auto and liability insurance).
DSPs may be able to take their clients to our Community Inclusion Center and participate in the activities.

Job Responsibilities

  • DSPs provide assistance with daily activities that are essential to living independently
  • Help individuals find a job by building resume, taking individual to job club, computer skills classes etc
  • Work with the individual to develop his/her goals and objectives.
  • Plan shopping trips, educational classes and recreational activities that are in line with the consumer’s interests
  • Help individuals to be as independent as possible with activities of daily living and assist them as necessary
  • DSPs may also facilitate community involvement by accompanying individuals on outings in the community
  • Help individual to determine the career direction through analyzing interest, situational assessments, etc
  • Supported Employment Assistance, this may require providing individual services like training, job coaching and job development

Operations Manager and Baker (Cake Pop Business)

We have started a Cake Pop business with the goal of employing people with disabilities. Each employee will be paired up with one of our Job Coaches who will help them with various tasks including, product development, marketing, inventory management, baking, manufacturing and sales. The Operations Manager will be in charge of running and managing all operations of our "Cake Pop" business. The Operations Manager must have both management and baking experience.

Job Responsibilities

  • Managing and providing oversight to all employees
  • Overseeing inventory, distribution of goods and facility layout
  • Setting and reviewing budgets and managing cost
  • Assure implementation of sanitation and safety procedures /li>
  • Developing new products and recipes
  • Supervise and participate in preparation of all food items
  • Training staff on specialized cake and pastry decorating

Marketing Intern

The Marketing Intern will report directly to our Marketing Coordinator. He or she will be responsible for recruiting students from local college, and marketing our organization

  • Run our social media campaign
  • Develop our marketing materials
  • Taking pictures and videos at our Community Inclusion Center
  • Develop monthly news letters
  • Making presentations to student organizations and classes at colleges about our programs
  • Representing Disability Allies at recruitment fairs
